washington_underpass The airport that is closest to Roseville city is the Sacramento International Airport. This is an airport that is public and it is located just ten miles from Sacramento’s business district, in the county of Sacramento, the state of California. Sacramento County runs this airport and Southwest Airlines is its biggest airline with around half of all the passengers going through the airport using this airline. The other airlines that are big in this airport are United Express / United Airlines which have 11%, Delta Connection / Delta Airlines with 6% and US Airways which has around 5% of the traffic.

The plans which were announced in 2006 called for a replacement of the old Terminal B with a newer one, due to be finished in 2012, at a total price of $1.27 billion. The works begun in 2008 and during the same year the hotel of the airport was demolished, so the new Terminal B could be built, made out of glass and steel, and four stories high. Once all the airlines will be moved to the newer terminal, the old one will be torn down. All the airlines currently operating there confirmed that they will move to the newer terminal. Being ahead of schedule, the terminal will probably open at the end of 2011.

The city of Roseville is situated on Highway 80, around ten miles to the east of the city of Sacramento. Arriving to the city should be easy and getting directions should pose no problems if you ask a local. The city has two highways which run through it.
