Roseville Westfield Galleria

galleria The Roseville Westfield Galleria is a nice shopping mall which the Westfield Group owns. As the name suggests, it can be found in the city of Roseville, the state of California. It can be found between the Roseville Parkway and Galleria Boulevard, at the junction between Interstate 80 and State Route 65.

During the 2008 fall, this mall surpassed the Arden Fair Mall and it is now the biggest mall from the metropolitan area of Sacramento, both in the number of stores and in size. Even though it is found in a suburb, there are many exclusive stores which picked Roseville instead of Sacramento, as there is a very good demographic in the area.

At first, the mall was supposed to be built in the Rocklin city, but eventually the plans were replaced and the new ones talked about Roseville as the location for it. The year 1995 saw the approval of a mall which had three anchors and three years later a fourth anchor was approved, thanks to considerable demand. The Roseville Galleria had a total cost of $100 million and it was finished in the year 2000, with an anchor by Sears, JC Penney, Nordstrom and Macy’s. In 2002, the Westfield Group acquired the center, after the former owner, Rodamco, entered dissolution. The local people tend to call it either The Mall, The Galleria or the Roseville Galleria.

Initially, there was a Borders bookstore which was an anchor for the Promenade to the south of the Galleria. In 2008 it was closed and one year later it was replaced by Urban Outfitters, which took the space and in July 2009 opened. One other space which was replaced was a former Copeland Sports store. Instead of that store, a flagship of XXI Forever came in 2009.
