Located in the state of California, in the Placer County, the city of Roseville can be found in Sacramento’s metropolitan area. The city’s population is a bit over 112,000 people and the expectations are that it will get to 133,000 in the next five years. State Route 65 goes through the city’s north part and Interstate 80 goes through the city as well.
The Census Bureau of the US claims that the city occupies an area of over 30 square miles. There are a number of streams that flow through the city of Roseville and they are Cirby Creek, Secret Ravine, Linda Creek and Dry Creek.
The density of the population in the city is 2600 people for each sq. mile. In total, there are 32,000 housing units in the city. The races found in the city are 86% white, 1.3% African Americans, 0.7% Native Americans, 4.3% Asians, 0.2% Pacific Islanders and the rest are from other races.
There are a number of different businesses in Roseville, including a huge Auto Mall and big retail centers. The consequence is a significant tax receipt which goes into the city’s pockets. The increase in the infrastructure of the city is due to this sales tax revenue that comes in, so it is able to keep up with the increase in population.
Shopping in Roseville is an important part of the local economy, and it is placed on the eleventh spot when it comes to retail sales, out of all the California cities. It’s been affected quite a bit by the economic downturn, but when the economy will recover it is expected that it will go into the top 10, with at least $4 billion worth of retail sales per year. This city is known as a shopping destination in the region and the biggest shopping center of the city is Westfield Galleria.
